Taeshawn Graham
President
Experienced, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few of the ways coworkers describe this invaluable member of our team. Taeshawn Graham is truly a joy to be around and makes it a pleasure to come to work every single day. Taeshawn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2015 after she gave birth to her handsome son who was born prematurely at 2.93 pounds due to preeclampsia complications. Her life has been full of obstacles since her diagnosis. In 2015, before she was diagnosed, she went to see a neurologist because her sight had deteriorated drastically in her right eye. The neurologist advised her that it did not seem like an MS case, and gave her a high dosage of steroids, and she left without further treatment. Taeshawn then went completely blind in her right eye, and knew that it was more then what the neurologist stated. She went to an optometrist who tested her vision, and told her it would soon return. A few months later, Taeshawn began to go numb from the waist down and no longer had feeling in her feet, but her vision in her right eye returned, but it was blurry. Furthermore she could not walk without the dependence on a walker and it resulted in severe depression for years. Taeshawn continued to fall multiple times because her equilibrium was off. After many years of searching, She finally found the right neurologist that took her case seriously. Cocktails of medication, multiple therapists, and hospitalizations had become her new normal. Even though Taeshawn was discouraged with life battling MS, being in an abusive marriage, mental, physical and spiritual challenges, and surviving she continued to pushed herself. Now she is battling Multiple Sclerosis in a different way. She started doing make up, and people all around the world took attentiveness in her amazing artistry. She didn't view it as something to hinder her. She is Lending Hands to those in need. She is no longer bond to a walker, and has started exercising to regain her strength. She is the pillar of Women around the world. She is speaking on her story regarding her illness for the first time now to let everyone know to never give up. It is always a way. She has become a pescatarian, and lost a significate amount of weight. Overall her life has been filled with happiness and bliss since she started her spiritual journey. Her main inspiration for starting Lending Hands was her entrepreneurial spirit. There are also successful people whom she admires. A history of entrepreneurs in her family have been a major influence, and she has a strong desire to succeed for a purpose much bigger then herself. If she can do it so can you. Taeshawn has some kind words she would like to share "Don't give up on the possibilities of life just because you may face tragedy. The lord will always make a way when you think that you have lost your way. Keep pushing. The unicorn in you is watching"
